Girl Code is a lunch time program specific to JMS to support our female students in a safe and supportive environment. The program encourages the development of strong, aware, self-confident girls who can successfully cope with the many conflicting issues presented in the pre-teen life today. Ms. Balooch, along with Mrs. Sapien and Ms. Mazzie, supervise the program which is led by our trained 8th grade mentor female students. Participating girls are encouraged to bring their lunch and join the activities planned and be ready to discuss issues of adolescence and middle school culture. Participants are encouraged to attend every session to benefit for all the topics of discussion and spiraling of lesson content.

  • 6th Grade ‘Girl Code’ meets every other Tuesday, beginning October 4th in Room 4 during the lunch period
